Abundant perennial plantings throughout the yard include the foundation landscaping, a kitchen herb garden, roadside wildflower beds, tulips, daffodils, poppies and peonies, irises and rose bushes.

Organically maintained for the last six years, everything here grows freely in rich soils, yielding up herbs, flowers, raspberries, apples, pears, cherries, herbs and asparagus. You will not be able to deplete your supplies of oregano, chives, catnip and spearmint. Raised beds in the vegetable garden are easy to plant and maintain for expert and beginning gardeners alike. The ever-surprising pumpkin patch “volunteers” itself each June and we are overrun with gourds, pumpkins and our very own “pumpgourdin” hybrid by September.
